How long was nancy botwin in jail
To maintain the upper-middle-class lifestyle to which she was accustomed, Nancy enters the world of pot dealing. At the start, her regular clients include her accountant and fellow suburban friends. However, as she expands, she is confronted with competitors, gangs, drug lords, and blackmail.
Eventually, she rises to the highest levels of an international drug-smuggling cartel. She excitedly jumps on the opportunity to traffic pot across the border at the beginning of season four but is uncomfortable with transporting other drugs like heroin and child-prostitute smuggling. She also has trouble respecting the "chain of command" within the drug cartel and sometimes blatantly violates its rules.
However, her insubordination leads to a romance with Esteban Reyes. Her attempt to shut down an underground tunnel almost leads to her death during the season four cliffhanger.
Nancy takes a break from dealing in season five while building a relationship with Esteban. However, after fleeing to Seattle, Washington , she starts selling hashish —a concentrated form of pot—as opposed to sustaining a "normal life".
At the beginning of the series, Nancy struggles to keep her drug dealing separate from her family life. However, Andy, Silas, and Shane find out about her dealing at different parts of the series.
While she is willing to risk life and limb for the love of her family, she also wants to protect them from the hazards of drugs and the drug trade. She is particularly hesitant to allow Silas to enter the business until her crisis with U-turn forces her to allow Silas to deal. Nancy has only smoked pot three times on screen. When Silas meets Emma , who claims to be a disgruntled Pouncy House employee, he offers her a job with their business. But after they have sex in his house, she sees the police report on Pouncy House and steals Nancy's computer which includes details of their business and clients. When Silas Botwin finds out about the raid he is angry with Nancy and accuses her of being too controlling.
The detective finds out, through Emma, that Nancy only ordered the raid because she wanted to eliminate her competitor, and he promises to make Shane's life hell.
Dmitri robs Heylia her delivery was supposed to go to Silas, and Dmitri is trying to sabotage him with a gang of his old military friends, and doesn't tell Nancy this plan. Dmitri later tells Nancy that the weed was Silas' and and that Silas planned the robbery. When Nancy tries to reconcile with Silas, he realizes that weed and Stevie are her only two weaknesses. He leaks information about her drug business to Jill.
Jill tells Nancy that she she will report her drug business to police if she doesn't hand over custody of Stevie. Nancy refuses. When they get there they find his friends, who are stoned. They tell Nancy that Dmitri was arrested for unrelated crimes. No real story, though, just a nice fun face from the past. With kids — and separate bedrooms. Doug Wilson Kevin Nealon : That cult idea he had in the th episode? It paid off big, and his face now appears on buses. He made amends with his ex-wife and paid back alimony , three daughters and his son and has a legion of followers and is part owner of a successful pot business.
Yep, sounds like Doug has everything he wants. Shane Botwin Alexander Gould : He sided with the law rather than the family business and turned out to be just like the boozy detective Frank Ouelette Michael Harney : a white-trash dirty cop with a drinking problem and a bad temper.
He returns home for the big event and is still bitter that he chose wrong when he hears that the family business has a rich offer from Starbucks.
Ultimately, Silas has grown up and knows that his future is with Megan and rejects her appeal. While his wife might not have moved on from the price Silas had to pay growing up with Nancy, he has it all — and more, considering Nancy winds up deciding to sell the business.
