For One-Way rentals you pay for your rental when you pick it up the equipment and any additonal charges are calculated upon return.

Local rentals are paid for when you return your equipment. When you arrive at the location to pick up your truck, you must provide a refundable deposit. Your deposit will be refunded if you return the truck in good condition and meet all the terms of your rental agreement.

Please note: If the location does not have the appropriate cash on hand, they will mail you a check for the deposit amount. Budget requires a refundable deposit for all one-way rentals and local rentals. The deposit varies by length of rental and area of country. The location will charge the deposit to your credit card at the time of pick up. Typically it takes business days to process and post to the account, you may check your next statement for the credit.

When payment is made by credit card, the cardholder must be present at the time of the charge; otherwise we cannot charge the credit card. If the cardholder is unable to be present at the time of the charge, please make other payment arrangements prior to your rental.

You are required to pay tax for truck rental, as well as any local fees and surcharges set by the county or state. Car and Truck are separate divisions of Budget. The Truck division specializes and focuses on moving truck and moving equipment rental, while the Car division specializes and focuses on car rentals, but does offer SUV's, passenger vans, and a limited number of pick-up trucks.

The truck division has 10 foot, 15 foot and 24 foot moving trucks and a limited number of cargo vans. Subject to availability these can all be used for local pick up and return same location and one-way rentals pick up and return different locations , except cargo vans, which are only available for local use. We work very hard to ensure we include more than enough days and miles on our one-way rentals for our customers to safely complete their move. We use mapping software to calculate distance and tend to be conservative, already adding in additional miles in case a customer takes a less direct route.

These additional days and miles are non-refundable, so please purchase wisely. Regardless of your driving abilities, you may face hazards on the road that are out of your control. Including, traffic and road conditions, weather and other drivers. And no matter how careful you are, accidents can still happen. We encourage you to check with your own insurance carrier on your insurance plan to see if the rental truck is covered under your policy.

The pick-up location, drop-off location, time of rental and date of rental selected in a reservation is a preference only and, if a preference selected is not available, Budget Truck Rental "BTR" reserves the right to offer a customer alternatives.

All equipment selected in a reservation is subject to availability at time of pickup. If the equipment requested is not available, BTR reserves the right to substitute equipment at no additional charge to the customer. Rates reserved online do not include applicable taxes, fees, surcharges, additional accessories, protection plans purchased at time of rental, the required refundable deposit, moving supplies or other applicable charges.

Trip duration estimates for one-way rentals are estimates only. Mileage and trip duration may vary from Budget estimates. Budget will allow customers to purchase additional days or miles by directly contacting the Budget Truck Rental pick up location shown on the Thank You page. Additional days and miles paid in advance are non-refundable including those purchased but not used. At the time of rental, Budget will require two forms of current, valid identification from the individual signing the rental contract.

All towing equipment is recommended based on the towing manufacturer's guidelines and the specific vehicle information the customer provided. Budget is not responsible or liable for damages incurred while towing equipment is in use, and does not guarantee or warrant that such equipment is fit for the particular use.
